I have learned a lot of useful information about cyberbullying that I can relate to situations in life. For example, if I ever see cyberbullying taking place, I will be an upstander in some way, and try to stop it. I have witnessed cyberbullying before, but I did not get involved. In this case, if I had gotten involved, the situation would have gotten worse. The two girls who were fighting needed...

Reacting to cyber-bullying
Have you ever encountered online cruelty? Yes, I have. How do you think someone might feel after being the target of it? They would probably feel very hurt, scared, and have a negative image of themselves.

A good way to create a Digital Literacy Wikipedia article is to have all of the classes get involved. Each class could be assigned a section to work on. Then in each class we can break up into groups and work on a section from the whole class’ section. This way, everyone who takes the class is able to contribute. By watching the video and by looking at the websites, I have learned more...

Looking back on this year, I have liked learning about different technology tools, like Prezi. I honestly don’t know what else I would like to learn before the end of the year. Website Bias
When information on a website is biased, the person who wrote it favors a particular side of the argument. It is important to know if a site is biased or not, so that you don’t receive false information from it. It is helpful, fun, or okay to read biased information when you are not finding facts for a project, or for something that requires factual information. This includes finding...

Favorite Search Strategy
My favorite search strategy is putting quotes around important phrases or words. It is my favorite because it is a simple way to make the search very specific. It will be useful in my research because I will be able to eliminate many websites that are irrelevant to what I am looking for.

Web Search Strategy
It is important to have a strategy when searching the web, to make sure that the correct and appropriate information is found. I have used a website for school purposes before and I was concerned that it was not a legitimate source. I was not familiar with the information, so I could not determine if it was reliable or not, besides from its appearance.

It is particularly important for the future. Things that are posted online are permanently there and everyone can see them. You may think it is a good idea to post something today, but later on you will most likely regret doing so if it is embarrassing or inappropriate. Unfortunately, once you post something, it is online...

Digital Citizenship
A good citizen of the digital world should behave responsibly online. They should be real, post only appropriate things, and should be kind. In order to help us to become better digital citizens, our school should show us the consequences of being a bad digital citizen. I pledge to be a responsible digital citizen by posting only appropriate things.
